I work at UCLA Med Center. I realize Los Angeles is a stretch but I took his story to the UCLA police dept and they "will check this out". I am aware people end up at their psych unit with no "identity" from time to time so I thought this could help. The media relations dept at UCLA covers the entire health center and campus were very unhelpful. I think it is prudent to contact all inpatient mental health hospitals within a certain area. He has touched so many people's hearts as he seems to be a genuinely nice man! I'm wondering, since the family believes he's alive and wandering the streets, would they have any photos of him that show him unshaven (more than a few days) that they would publish? I'm asking because if he is on the streets, that's most likely what he looks like today. It may lead to more recognition? A sighting? Don't know how to contact the family to suggest this.....
